Meooowww

Ok. So it took me almost a week to actually write this post. Haha. Not that I'm busy but its because I'm lazy. Sorry mama. So back to business.

Last week, went on a 4 day trip with a couple of moi friends across the vast ocean on to an island. Well it is an island anyway. Although it didn't really fell like it. City of cats! Meoww.. Hahaha. Its my 2nd time there. The 1st was during my intern-ship which was just a one night only stay at Hilton. So for this trip, well, its supposed to be a budget holiday so stay at an Inn. Anyway here's how it went.

1st day. Took off with AirAsia. Honestly, it was my 1st time flying with AA. It actually kinda shocked me to the bones on how the service was. No wonder its called a budget airline. I still can't get over the fact that the stewardess actually went up down the aisle asking for rubbish while holding a black plastic (those rubbish type). Hahaha. Well you get what you paid for right? So no complaints. On the 1st day, arrived, checked in to a lodge call Wo Jia Lodge (its pretty decent for the price of RM50 per night). Then drove around in a Kancil (rented for RM90 per day) to every possible places we could think of (which wasn't many). Visited Jong's Crocodile farm (they're huge fellows!). Due to the time (lots of hanging around), after the farm, headed back to the room, rested then out for dinner. So where to for dinner? Well none other then TopSpot! Of coz I wasn't watching my waist nor dieting (just for holidays I shall not...haha). So stuff my face to the fullest. After dinner, wasn't sure what to do at night. A friend gave an idea of visiting the 'Museum'. I guess lots of you might know about the Museum at night right?? Well its not like those Night at the Museum stuff la. Its more of what happens around there. Hahaha. So gave the place a visit, and you'll be shocked by how friendly some can be. Lol. So went round walking, wasn't many that night, so called it a night, and headed off to bed without any intention or anything what so ever.

Some kind of stuff bear. (Look on the right as well)
Suppose to be the largest croc in Malaysia!

So on the 2nd day, well woke up quite early (which didn't happen for the next 2 days..haha). The day was a bit well planned. Headed to our 1st stop which was the wind cave (not sure why they called it wind cave when there wasn't a single feel of breeze except for the stench of bat poo). Then made our way to a lake called the blue lake which was a former gold mine area (I try digging but couldn't find any gold). It was really blue and pretty deep plus it was so clear you could see a few metres down. But don't even think of swimming in it. There's hardly any life in the lake because its still filled with toxins. After that we headed for Santubong which is famous for beaches at Damai! The place was extremely packed with humans (since it was a Saturday). The beach was ok, kinda milky and muddy. Maybe wrong timing. Can't compare to Redang though. After some strolling and some beach shots (not posted here..only FB =p ), headed back to the city. On the way back, stopped at Satok night market. Got some stuff there and also dinner. Then headed back to our rooms for some rest and some shut eyes. Then later at night, we decided to explore Kuching's night life. Well, I bet that's what everyone does right? Exploring the night scene. So dressed up, just very simple then headed out to Grappa. I guess I wouldn't have to explain what's Grappa (just Google it). Had some drinks and dance. It was a great night :D After that it was back to the lodge.

Its very dark but I guess my camera flash was too bright

3rd day. Woke up around 10. Well, it was explainable since I slept around 4 after running to the bathroom for like 4 times (don't ask me why). Lucky didn't have any hang over. So the journey was to visit the orang utan sanctuary and maybe some sight seeing if possible or other stuff. Took a drive to visit the orang utan sanctuary. The place was quite far but it was worth it. We actually missed the part where they actually came down and eat the fruits because we were told to go into the jungle and follow the tracks to another feeding area. After more then 30 minutes none showed up so we headed back out. While heading out, there was this white guy. I guess he wanted to take pics and all but was rather shy to ask. But finally he had the courage so I helped snapped a few for him (while my friends keep making fun of me for doing it). So after the orang utan thingy, we decided to visit some of the malls (but only visited one on this day). Visited Boulevard mall, which is something like a cross bread between Summit and Times Square with a pinch of Low Yat and Sg Wang. Haha. The mall is big and its one of the most frequent places since its friendly to the pocket. After the mall, head off to my friend's place. Visited his family and all. That was when I had my 1st taste of tuak! Rather strong. Too much can make you go numb. Which may be good in certain situations I guess (wink wink). Then drop by at an evening market to get some worms (worms as in insect worms ok..lol). The ever famous sago worms. Honestly I tried it and the taste was rather nice (I love trying weird stuff...haha). At night we didn't do much. Since everything was close by 6, so nothing could be done. Went to a 24hours McD, bought some sets, went back to the lodge and played some cards, watch some DVD and headed to bed.

Mama and her 2 kids
The worms! Its looks like a wrinkle miniature version of 'that'. Hahaha
4th and final day. So its the final day. It was filled with doing some wet market shopping. Visited the Satok wet market to get some of the famous ikan terubok which is actually fresh fish rubbed with salt. I only bought one big fish while another friend of mine bought like 25 small ones (gosh he loves fish..hahaha). After that, took a sampan aka boat, from the river front to get across to the side to buy another famous stuff which is kek lapis or layer cake! Bought RM100 worth of it to take back since I didn't really get any gifts. After the shopping headed back to the lodge to do some packing before checking out. Since the flight back was 9.30 (which was delayed to 9.50), before heading to the airport, made a pit stop at The Spring. Its a mall which is almost on par to Alamanda I would say but not up to Mid Valley yet. The mall was nice and big, but rather cold since there wasn't much people since its a Monday. Dinner and wasted some time, then its off to the airport. Check my baggage (which I was lucky not to exceed the 15kg mark..my bag was 14.7!) then went for some coffee. Just a tip, if you ever go to Starbucks at KIA you must say hi to Peter the barista! Hahaha.

Overall the trip was a fun one. It wasn't a well planned trip but the enjoyment was all that matters. So this would be my final trip for the year. No more to come unless I decide to pull out all the full stops.

This year three holidays. Although they were short but I love them. Redang, Bangkok and Kuching. Next year would be Jakarta in April! Maybe I'll throw in Bali later in the months to come? (who wants to go???).

Till my next trip, I'll just keep myself busy with day trips ,like to the mall or something instead. Hahaha.

p.s. - Go for a holiday!

Waving to reality

Hye sweet folks. Hye sweet cakes. Hye sweet pies. Hye sweeties. Hope you're all sweet like honey and not sugar. Prefer honey more then sugar =p

Anyway, its back to reality for me. Been away for a 4 day trip, now I'm back in the office day (morning) dreaming away like without a care in the world. I'm so ready to work, but this feeling is killing me like so much!

Why is it when you're on a holiday, everything seems ok you don't get sick, but when you're back its like a sudden wash of sickness comes towards you. Yeah so now I'm sick, but luckily it was after the trip :)

So, I shall fill you up with some stories (if you want to read la) in my next post. Lots of pics to edit a bit (make it look better) and back tracking (I've got short term memory probs) to jot down here.

Its such a wet Wednesday!

Oh yeah, interview didn't go as plan yesterday. Hope they can reschedule it soonest.

p.s. - I've yet to try the recipe of boiled Coke with ginger and lemon slices

Monday, September 17

One ends, another starts

Ring ring ring. The phones ringing, pick it up will ya? Hye folks. Not sure why, but I'm starting to get lazy to blog again. Just don't have the feel for it. Sometimes I think I blog too much of crap that's why. Crappy stuff makes me sound crappy and people don't like crappy people. Or is it?

So 3 days of holiday are over. But another 4 days to come! Hahaha.

Ok. Its been quite a busy weekend I would say. From Friday night onwards until Sunday or Monday morning I think (since it passed midnight). So just a short recap, Friday night, went for a movie at Mid Valley and supper at Bangsar. Then Saturday went for acupuncture at KD, shopping at Amcorp Mall, then movie at night at Mid Valley (so 2 nights at the same place.how dreadful is that?..LOL). Sunday, went for lunch at Putrajaya, shopping at Sunway, massage at somewhere, then supper at Subang. Today, whole day at home. Just did some blink blink and its already Monday.

Anyway I'm feeling so guilty of something. No its not about a human being (at the moment I got no guilt for any since I'm flying solo...) or anything related to a human. Hahaha. I'm feeling guilty coz I shouldn't be shopping! I just couldn't resist from buying stuff. From the 3 days, bought a sweater, a T, a singlet, a shoe and a sandal. Other then that, spend on food like there's no tomorrow too. I really need to control my spending.

So Thursday it the day for me. The day before I fly, its going to be a big day. Hope I can be impressive enough and leave something to remember that'll I'll get a call a week later. Crossing fingers!

p.s. - Tired weekend. XoxO

Absurd and disgusting

Happy Friday folks! Some serious talk shall we?

So yesterday I was going through my Twitter timeline when I was struck by something very interesting. A topic which is so hot, even if you touch, you'll get burned to the bones. Well its none other then the topic relating to LBGT or for long its called Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay and Transgender group. As if the topic was not hot enough in the country, it seems the Education Ministry wants to make it even hotter!. So what's this all about you may ask? Well it goes like this.

The Yayasan Guru Malaysia Berhad and Putrajaya Consultative Council of Parent-Teacher Associations came up with some particular guidelines on how to actually detect or figure out if your son or daughter (if you have any) are actually showing symptoms of being a gay or a lesbian. To make it even more spicy, the Ministry of Education of Malaysia actually endorsed the guides to help curb the current "trend" that is happening in Malaysia. So what are the guidelines to figure out those symptoms? Well, they are:

For gays:

  • Muscular body and a fondness for showing off the body by wearing clothing, such as by wearing V-necks and sleeveless tops.
  • A preference for tight and bright coloured clothes.
  • An inclination to be attracted to men.
  • A tendency to carry big handbags, similar to the kinds used by women.

For lesbians:

  • Showing attraction to women.
  • Distancing themselves from women other than their girlfriends.
  • A preference for hanging out, sleeping and dining with women.
  • Absence of feelings for men.

Honestly, all this is just absurd and disgusting. How can they actually come up with this kind of foolish guidelines? Did they just create it with what they see and experience? Plus the Ministry of Education should actually have better brains then to just endorse such foolish crap. It totally doesn't make senses. How can you come up with a guideline to actually decide if the person is gay or lesbian? We live in a modern society and modern world, and yet, it seems we going backwards and not forward.
A girl who hangs-out with other girls, they are lesbians? If they were to hang-out with boys, I guess they'll say that the girl is such slut and a whore? Or they might even say the girl is showing inappropriate behaviour? What has gotten into the brains of these people who made this guidelines?
Then there's the part where a guy wears tight fitting clothes to show off their well built body, his automatically a gay? So I guess they are saying that even Aaron Aziz is a gay huh? So footballers are gay too I guess since they spend most their time with other guys on the field and in the locker room. Are this people thinking straight when they made this guidelines?

This guidelines are not just an insult to the LBGT community but instead to the whole of Malaysia. So anyone who wears or does to any of the above could be a gay or a lesbian? In that case I think 90% of women and men, teens and kids are suspects of their speculation. Talk about equal rights huh...Hahahaha. Its funny. Looks like Malaysia will be on the map of controversial news again.

I lost it

I just want to sleep. Nothing more nothing less. I'm just so tired body and soul. Mentally I'm tired. Physically I'm tired.

Is it wrong that I lost it? Should I've just kept quiet? Did I say something wrong? What did I do? I just wanted peace and quiet. But yeah I lost it.

The second I said it, tears fell down. I just couldn't hold it back. The shower was the only comfort I could get. Washing it all down the drain as more started to pour.

It was all a misunderstanding of words. It was all of two person who just wouldn't give up. It was all about a topic which was of interest. It was because I showed something which I shouldn't have.

She tried to settle things between them. She supported me instead of them. But I just couldn't take it. The nagging, the words, the noise, the misunderstanding. So I lost it.

My words came out without control. I couldn't think what I was saying. It was like an eruption of emotions. He said kept saying things. I fought back. She said something. I said something. We all said something.

With so much running through my veins I just couldn't hold back. Words were flung and some have pierced. I did not meant what I said but emotion were high and I lost it.

I'm grateful with what I have. I'm blessed with what I have. But have I light the fire too early? Have I thrown stones at the wrong window?

Right now I just wish I could sleep and wake up tomorrow as if nothing has happened.

I just feel so helpless. Apologies can be made but words can't be taken back.

Sorry.

p.s. - I need to prepare for tomorrow. Please give me strength.

Jennifer Lopez

Heyya awesome people! How are ya feeling? Great I hope. Well you should be since its Friday. Don't ask about me will ya? Thanks. Hugs. Love ya. (Emo..)

Anyway, been pretty busy but still had time to drop without making any post. Don't know. Got no idea for any. So the big super hot news. Miss Jennifer Lopez (or J.Lo) is coming to town! I'm pretty sure lots are excited. Oh well, at least she could make it here (but I'm still hoping for another Mariah Carey coz she was the Hero of the 90s, or maybe something to keep us Wide Awake like Katy Perry, or Kylie Minogue who is total hot like a Timebomb, or if you put your Love On Top like Beyonce did maybe you would be smiling or if you're a Womanizer I think you're such a Britney). For now J.Lo is safe but I bet there will surely be those "people" who are just not satisfied with anything. They'll make statements saying its inappropriate, teaches bad values, encourages sex, western influence bla bla bla. Sometimes how low can this people get right?

Ok back to the topic. So is anyone going to catch her? I know the tickets aren't the cheapest and you won't be able to see her since she'll be just like ant (don't be too sweet...*wink wink*...) on the stage, but the experience? I'm considering it but I'm afraid what if I can't make it? Oh well if I can't, I'm sure I'll find away. LoL. Just have a contest and give it away. :)

Life actually can eat you up

Skipping the chase. Straight to business.

So I've got 6 days (not including weekends) to complete the book. Yeah I'm screwed like left right, up and down. Will I make it? I'm not sure. Will I survive it? I don't know.

I'm not sure if its the weather or its me. Suddenly being in an emotional bean bag. Gosh I hate this. I think its the work getting the better side of me. I can't wait to finish it all. I need to have a good time soon.

Its chilly tonight and wearing like this doesn't help in keeping warm. The rain was like a freak storm and places are flooded. Hope those affected are doing fine.

Am currently talking to a friend and guess what? I'm tearing up because of our conversation...goshhhhh. How life actually can eat you up.

p.s. - I've go nothing to p.s. this time

Sunday, September 2

Where would you be?

You're taught that the world is round but why does it feel like its a square?
You've done everything which is suppose to be right but why does it seem so wrong?
You keep running to reach the end of the tunnel but why isn't there a light insight?
You wear you best to look your best but why do people still judge you of who you are?
You work hard to earn a living for a life but why do you still feel like a beggar on the street?
You find love to fill that empty place but why does it seem like nothing's left for you to take back?
You run from East to West to look for a pot gold but why in the end there's only a jar of candies?

Beyonce performing I Was Here

The lyrics is just touching for this song.
