Bye 2014 Hello 2015

I'm here still in my office typing this as I'm eating twiggies and waiting to leave to head on home and the gym before welcoming the new year.

2014 have really been a year filled with lots of interesting chapters in my life. From sadness to happiness, I've went through it all. Changes took place and my life did change. Would I turn back time to change it all, maybe not as everything happens for a reason.

For a start of 2014, one of the biggest changes I've gone through is the change in my carrier. I've set myself to explore new opportunities and joining a new ship. Since then till now, obviously sailing has not been smooth but I did manage to survive through the many thunderstorms without having to hide under a wooden shack.

From that time on I've met many funny and great people along the way some who've I've called friends and cherish. Aside from that, I've also grown into another person which I've noticed I'm constantly evolving from A to B as time goes by.

People around me who've I've known have also gone through many changes in their lives and I could not be any more happier for them.

Apart from the people around me changing, me myself have also gone through many changes. I've been up and I've been down. I shall not explore all that here as I've already did previously in my other postings.

Resolutions? Well haven't really completed all of it for 2014 because I didn't really do any of it. Hahaha. That's why I don't set yearly resolutions but daily.

Wonder how will 2015 be? Good, bad or unsure? Lets just hope 2015 will be good not just for me but for everyone else. So much have also happen with the many incidents.

Lets kick-start 2015 with a bang!

Merry Christmas 2014!

*fuuhhhhh fuhhh fuhhhhh* Blowing the snow off my blog. It has been so long since I've updated till its covered with snow!

Oh my gosh! It's Christmas time again! How fast!

Merry Christmas to all of you out there may it be filled with love and joy plus plenty of gifts! May you be showered with unlimited glitter and gold throughout this period!

It is a moderate Christmas for me this year and just like every other years as well. Not much hu-ha, keeping things simple and nice like how I always loved it to be.

Anyway, speaking of gifts, I would like to give 3 lucky individuals such as yourself a special gift. Okay its not something sensual so don't think any of that, instead something which I personally love and I feel maybe I should share it with you guys as well.

It's going to be pretty simple. All you need to do is answer this question:
"If Santa was right in front of you, what would you wish from him?"

Again, Merry Christmas to all of you! XOXO!

Winner to be announced on Saturday (27th Dec 2014).

ps - wonder will anybody join the contest?

The cut along the sides

My thigh is hurting like mad! Okay maybe not like mad but its hurting cause it's swollen for no reason. Maybe there's a reason which is something have bitten my thigh. Its on my left thigh, inner part near my crotch.

So during the weekend I went for my usual hair cut. Usually I would have my hair cut like once every two weeks but due to my superbly busy schedule (like la so busy right, but I honestly was cause I was practically working almost every Saturday and this Saturday I'm still working as well) I could not have it trimmed. Anyway it has been three weeks only I had the time to get it cut so I headed down to visit my usual stylist at Jantzen Mid Valley (if you do see me say Hi okay) named Sean (he's a nice guy and he's very detailed). As usual before my hair cut, I would get it washed and this time it was by a new fellow whom I've never seen before. When he started washing it was good but 10 seconds later it was a horror to have let him washed my hair. His massage skills was terrible and his handling was far worst. Next time, never shall I let him wash me, I mean my hair.

So, after washing, my stylist came over and said "Hmmm..lets change your style. Why not we comb it to the side and stop doing the back comb?". I replied "Yea sure. As long it looks good on me." After that he just took his scissors out and he just began snipping of every strand of my hair. Than he turned to me and said "I'm gonna cut here straight okay?". And snap it went. The second I saw it I was like, okay maybe I should just have it cut short instead. But deep down inside there little corner, I still wanted my long hair which isn't that long anyway.

After some snipping and finally washing again, he blew dry my hair and applied some wax. Touching here and there *wink wink* (my hair okay not other place) he was done styling my hair and walla! It was clean, tidy and nice!

How does it look?

On Monday I went to office and all my colleague's were like "Hey you had a hair cut?" obviously I did. "It's so straight!". Well thank you!

What sort of hairstyle do you go for?

Saturday, November 22

What shape are you? *wink wink*

What a superbly hectic week I must say! I've got tonnes to settle and clear and yet I'm still pending on so many stuff to do!

So I was going through some magazine last few days (not any kinda sexually related magazine k) and there was this particular section which was talking about body shapes. Shapes such as what shape are you may it be apple, pineapple, watermelon and such. Nah I'm kidding. Hahaha.

It was actually talking about the type of body shape guys have and what is the ideal shape and stuff. Of course to me there isn't really any ideal shape but more of like a shape which suits you from head to toe. If you walk round town you'll notice there's all sorts of shapes and sizes of people out there which makes everyone unique in a way I would say. Of course there's also those gym shaped folks for example: Big upper body, skinny squisy lower body. Big lower body, lady like upper body. (for men). Not judging at all here.

I've always wondered what sort of body shape I do have and looking from the above I would say somewhat between athletic and lanky but minus those packs and including those additional fat I have.  Maybe I could be thin as well. But as usual been working hard in the gym to achieve the perfect body but I know it will never happen in a million years. The biggest problem I have I think its how fast my body changes like from fat to thin to loss of muscle and bla bla bla. Currently I'm in the state of shedding those fats off like seriously! But a proud achievement I must say it changing from being slightly overweight to thin at one point and now to where I am.

Oh did I mention Bali is coming up in January? Got to look great cause they'll definitely be beach shots! If I do have a camera person to help me take it.

Do I look thin? I think I do look thin here. Maybe a bit more weight would be good or muscle I would say. I need to bulk up a bit more!

Any gym junkie out there? Some tips would be great! Anyway what body shape would you say you are suited for or aiming for or are? Hey no one is perfect and we all should be happy the way we look and just strive harder to look better if you want. I'm freaking striving to look better everyday.

Run run run as far as you can

I can't wait for December to come! I want to get out of the city for a while! Will be heading to Bangkok again and I'm just excited because I'm just in love with that city. The food! The shopping!

People have been asking me this one particular question and my answer to it has always been "I just don't like running but if you were to throw me in a place full of obstacles which needs strength and stamina challenging situations, I'll gladly go through it with all my might!". So the question is, "Why don't you join a marathon run?".

Frankly speaking, I don't fancy any marathon run. For some it's because of the thrill they get during and after the run but for me I don't see the fun in it at all. I mean running and in the end getting a medal is certainly nice and seems inspiring, but I just don't get it. Sorry I'm #justsaying this. Even in the gym I just hate running on treadmills. I would rather do jumping jacks for 20 minutes instead! (Of course I didn't do la..mad la). I do know there are those who run because it's their passion which I totally look up to and I'm all out for them. There are also those who run for the sake of being part of the society and in trend since marathons are a trend now among Malaysians and Instagram worthy.

I've tried running in a marathon before and honestly I just can't brain it like seriously. I guest I'm more of a person who likes challenges and not just running from point A to point B on a flat surface unless if there was obstacles involved than I'm all out for it like jumping across pools of mud, walking on planks and such. Easiest to say is, I like to get down and dirty (okay that sounds to sensual don't you think?). Back when I was a student, I used to join activities which involves body and mental challenge which is just fun! I remember I had to complete a 15 obstacle course as fast as I could which involves you sliding into a pond of grayish black mud, walking across 4 inch wide planks, climbing a wall made from bamboo sticks, crawling into a muddy ditch, making your way through a pool filled with slugs and leeches and so much more. After going through all that I was placed 4th among the many and it just satisfactory.

Why do I keep looking left?

Anyway, after graduating and started working, I've become like a slug and have not been involve with any of those kind of activity. Even the recent Viper challenge I wasn't in it. Laziness just hit me I think but I've registered for next year's challenge! Totally looking forward to it. Also looking into boot camps and more outdoor oriented activities.

To sum it up, running is not for me. But is it for you? Do you join those marathons or any sort of run?

Music, Food & Drinks at Signature by the Hill @ The Roof

Working hard in the gym to achieve my goal by the end of 2014. Working hard to buy more stuff until I drop. Actually if only I could.

It was such a hectic week last week with so much to do but so little time. With all the busy-ness that hit me, I still did managed to have a chill out moment and some drinks as well. Although it was just a short moment like a couple of hours, it was still good. A little fun is better than no fun at all right?

Anyway, last Wednesday, with a few of my friends, we headed down to Signature by the HillThe Roof to attend one of their Live Music Series which features different daily scenes such as from jazz to funk. The best part of all this music performance is that it is all performed by local musicians who've made their mark somewhere and sometime.

Because it was a Wednesday, it was also ladies night there and as usual the ladies had free drinks and the guys, well, you got to pay. But I was lucky enough to be offered a drink as well, on the house that's for sure.

The food there isn't all that bad as well. I would say from 1 to 10, they ranked 5.5 (just being honest).

Some finger food for the night. Oysters with butter and cheese. Unique and quite special the taste.

Some snapshots of the night at Signature. Not all that glam though.

The glowing tree which changes colour. Kind of a weird location to have the tree smack right in the middle.

Kronenbourg throughout the night. Coolios!

Meet Joyce.

That's Sugarmouse!

I'm like the Prince Charming smack right in the middle with the ladies.

Not sure the name of the band but they are pretty good.

Halloween Malloween

Okay this is going to be so like a throwback. #ThrowbackThursday? How was your Halloween celebration or celebrations? Was it great? What were you? What did you do?

Mine wasn't exactly a Halloween nor a Malloween celebration but more of a 'so called Halloween' pool get together with lots of smoke and water. Why smoke and water? Well it was a barbecue session and it was by the pool (sorry no pool shots from me.. LOL) so that explains why there was smoke and water.

It was a great night though. There was lamb, beef, prawns (I don't eat prawns okay.. allergic to it), salad, bacon (heaven, after one bite it was like being high on weed), corn, mushrooms, chicken wings (how can you not have chicken wings right) and so much more. It took quite a while to actually cook everything and it did went on till quite late but it was all worth it. There was rum too!
Sausages (mini ones), bacon, steak, chicken wings, corn and so much more!
Chicken bones?

After a few rounds of chicken wings and lamb, decided to take a dip in the pool. Although I still can't swim but it was for the sake of getting the chance to dip my self into the cold water. It was seriously cold because it was night. Yeah. Swimming at night by the pool. Don't get dirty thoughts please.

Anyway it was a great night of laughter and it was great having the chance to catch up with some of them. It has been sometime since we've met.

Denise seems so excited and Song, I'm just speechless with that action.

It wasn't a selfie stick but instead a tripod.

All trying to get a good shot.

Me failing as a wild rock star.

Being molested by some one's hands! Enwei looks dodgy. Haha.

Me myself just being calm.

How was your Halloween? But this year was pretty quiet no? Or what?

Let your personality dress you

So here I am sitting at Starbucks, The Gardens Mall doing my blog update. Trying to get inspiration but still nothing. Sipping my grande cup of Mocha which taste so different at every single outlet of Starbucks and honestly, this one isn't that great. Sorry to say that la.

I can't believe October is ending soon and November is like practically just around the corner. Plus, it's going to be a year of me being in my new job, how fast time goes by right? Not forgetting to mention how old I'm going to be too!

I'm currently down with a flu after a few days of not having proper rest. It just kills to be like this and I just hate flu because my nose would just keep on crying.  For God's sake, please take my flu away.

Anyway, that's not what I want to talk about. Let's talk about fashion. Rainbow fashion. You do know what I mean right? Fashion statement by our fellow 'rainbow' folks. As we all know, the community has always been stereotyped to have a particular fashion sense or taste and from a 100 miles distance, you can tell how that person is and whether he is a rainbow person or not. From head to toe you'll know it but those were the days when those who were the colourful folks would actually stand out from the black & community. These days, even the ruler straight folks dress like bend copper wire and honestly, you can't even tell the differences between them.

Bright colours, short shorts, leather strap sandals, neatly comb hair, perfectly carved eye brows were the significant trademarks of a you know who but now, it is no more and that's the past. Having all of this have actually became a norm among everyone (among guys la). When you're walking around town (mostly KL and Penang, of course other places there are too) you'll see them everywhere in this form and it is actually a good thing. Why? Because now everyone dresses nicely and perfectly! Not exactly perfect but presentable.

But having to dress like that and all means there is always the pressure to constantly look great and be on par with others. I do know some folks who would actually spend tonnes just to look like a trendy person or to be 'in trend' but honestly to me, it is all about dressing to your personality. Try giving me a simple white linen shirt, a pair of jeans short and sandals. I'll gladly wear them to Pavilion without much care. But if I was a superbly particular person, wearing all those to Pavilion would just affect my image and I can never be seen like that at such 'atas' place. Dressing should always match your personality and not because of environmental pressure you would push yourself to dress till you burst your pocket. But of course dressing for the occasion is also important and dressing appropriately is just as important. You would somehow want to ensure your image is also good and not tarnish by some silly mistake you've made.

People do question me on my choice of clothes somehow or someway but that hasn't stopped me from dressing how I want. I'm dressing not to impressed anyone but I'm dressing to make my self feel good and look good. If I like that shirt, I'll buy it and wear it. Do I care what others may think? Not really because I like it and I feel good in it. I believe you should always dress to compliment your personality but there are times when you would need to take note of how you dress la. You also wouldn't want to go out looking like a douchebag right? Having your own style is good and setting your own style sets you apart from others.

What's your style? Fully furnish or partially furnish?

Mariah Carey Live in Kuala Lumpur 2014

It's Saturday. Hurrayyy! I'm so glad it's Saturday cause tomorrow's Sunday. The weekend is here but still its gonna feel really short.

Have you heard of an awesome thing that happen this week? Well I guess it was all in the news and you should know it as well.

Mariah Carey was in KL on Wednesday! Actually she was down here like the day before and busy shopping around town but I'm talking about her concert! Being a fan of her, how can I miss out this great opportunity right? So when I heard that she was actually going to have a concert here, I immediately decided that I would need to get my hands on those tickets and I'm not going for the cheap one. Why? Hey you only get maybe, just maybe, once in a lifetime to hear and watch her sing live. It's not like she's going to be in KL on a monthly basis. Anyway, I manage to get the mid-tier tickets to catch her Elusive Chanteuse tour here and it cost me like freaking RM380 bucks not including handling fees.

Anyway, went to the concert with my mom and sis. Yes we just love her songs and her (only me actually).

Lets cut the story short.

So headed to Stadium Merdeka like 5pm and arrived around 6pm. Paid RM20 bucks for a parking spot just outside the stadium. Malaysians really do know how to make money huh. It's even more expensive than a freaking parking spot at Pavilion for 3 hours. Anyway, since the concert was supposed to begin at 8pm, we decided to head there earlier to avoid the jam and since its raining anything could happen.

So arrived there by 6pm roughly, got down, bought some burgers and drinks (again cut throat, a simple street side burger cost like RM5-6 bucks). Waited in line to enter the stadium with our bags of food and drinks until we were told "No outside food or drink allowed!". Gosh, what are we going to do with the burgers? Well, we just ate it that's all. Hahaha.

After awhile the rain stopped (yes it was raining the whole time) and umbrellas kept until we heard "No umbrellas allowed in the stadium!". Gosh fuck their lifes. Is it possible? So I had to walk back to my car, which wasn't that far la.

7.30pm! We were allowed to enter the stadium, finally! Found our seats and honestly, it was superbly spacious. I could just lay down and spread my legs. Throughout the whole concert, I was just moving from one side to the other sliding my butt around the bench. Oh yea, we actually sat on wooden bench for almost 3 hours. Butt numb.

At a proximity 9.15pm, Mariah appeared and so the story began!

It was raining throughout the whole concert that night but everyone was excited to see and hear her sing. So everything ended around 11pm and it was a good show. I think the highlight for me that night was when she sang Fly Like A Bird, Meteorite and We Belong Together. Due to the number of new songs she sang, not many in the crowd knew it. I could see it in their faces.

Although Mariah was awesome that night, the organiser was really bad. The sounds system was terrible and their people management of the crowd was just as bad. So much of confusion going on here and there. But anyway everyone enjoyed the night and Mariah closed of the show with Always Be My Baby.

What has been the best or most memorable concert you've attended?

Wednesday, October 15

After so long I'm blogging in the morning! Miracle I tell you! Actually nah. Just done my meeting and now having a drink at Starbucks (yea its Starbucks) while typing this out.

So, how often do you guys go out and catch a movie at the cinema? I've not been doing it for quite sometime and lately I just got back into the habit of it.

Anyway, I was booking my ticket via the GSC app (yes I love the GSC app because it is just so convenient to use and I don't need to queue up or even open my laptop to get my self a movie ticket) and there wasn't any single seat left apart from the twin seats (hence the title of this post). So I proceeded to buy it. But, watching the movie was me and my guy friend not a girl. What harm can it do right? I've been watching movies seating at the twin seats with many guy friends and it wasn't a big deal anyway. I even watched a movie with my sis in a twin seat.

The story was this. When we got into the cinema, beside us was two couples. On my left was a younger couple within the age of being in their early 20s while on my right was the other couple which was like hitting 30s or more. The second we sat down, the couple on my right blasted out softly saying "Dear you see. Two guys seating beside us". I didn't hear it directly but my friend told me and I was like so tempted to say, "So what two guys are seating here? Is it wasn't labeled only meant for people who could not find any other place to cuddle to sit?". Anyway, I just told my friend to just ignore it cause it was his first time and not mine plus he didn't feel comfortable with it. Hahaha. But the couple through out the whole movie was just hugging and smooching, please just get a room could you?

I'm just wondering. If two guys were to seat in a twin in movie would be seen as you know, what about girls? How would they be labeled as? People should change their mind set please.

Stay in shape!

The weekend is here but it'll end pretty fast. WTH! I won't even enjoy it enough! I won't have a good massage nor get drunk on vodka! Anyways, working is good as it keeps my day filled with stuff.

As you know I've been trying hard to get back in shape like so hard! Honestly it's not easy at all like hell no. So I've been going back to my routine in my gym by doing regular cardio exercises and strength training. Apart from that I'm also doing kick-ass classes in gym.

There has been results but not much though. Wishing for more and hope I achieve faster results. With my recent lifestyle of eating after gym which is like 10pm, isn't helping at all!

But I decided to do something better to burn those fat faster! No it's not cardio in bed but instead I bought a package from Groupon for a month to join Muay Fit. Its a studio which teaches all sorts of martial arts and it is just so awesome. I think you should really give it a try like for real.

So here's me cam-whoring during after my first boot-camp training. At first I couldn't believe it but I actually managed to do it. I managed to flipped a f-ing hugh-monk-gus tyre! Its not your usual Viva car tyre size but it is those huge lorry tyre type. Beat that suckers! Haha.

Anyway talking about my body, well fat is growing around the waist and it is certainly worrying. Maintaining is such a pain and I know it ain't easy.  It's like trying to keep up with the Kardashians.

Okay the pic was taken like on Monday. So it may seem all is fine and lovely but trust me, it is the angle. My merman is only visible if I flex it. That's bad so bad. Why does my chest look so hairy???

Not sure if I've asked this before but how do your maintain your shape? I bet lots of you heads to the gym often right?

October is coming soon! Have you completed 70% of your resolution for this year? I actually can't remember mine though.

I started blogging when I was asked by one of my college mate back in 2008 why didn't I blog? After that question I decided to start a blog and it was named Adlexus. Why the name Adlexus? Well I just wanted a nickname or more of just a name and nothing in particular. So only 2nd September 2008 I started this blog and my first post was on that very same date and day.

Throughout my 6 years of blogging, I've made tonnes of changes and certain part of my life is actually recorded in here although it may not be as interesting as others, this is my personally diary that I have shared with many since back in 2008 and for those who've been supportive, it has been great! Xoxo!

I do hope to continue blogging for many more years even-though no one bothers to read my blog anymore. Sounds so sad la!

Also my blog have been going through so many changes. Lets hope no more changes that soon!

Happy 6 years of blogging!

I was out of town

This post has been long overdue. I was suppose to write about Penang after my previous trip but I didn't. So I had to make sure I did a post for my recent trip to Penang this time. It's just a simple one la.

So I drove to Penang with a bunch of my friends over the long weekend that was just before Malaysia Day. Before that, lets do a flash back. So what did you do over that weekend? Did you drink, got drunk, found a 'someone', fireworks blew across the sky and you slept the whole noon because you were too tired? Okay just ignore that I said that. Sound stupid. Stupidly anticing.

Anyway let me try to act like I was writing this during that time. I was in Penang again! Yeay! I think every since I had my new car I'm able to drive around and longer distance. So I guest that's the reason why I was in Penang over that weekend. Partially the reason la. Or is it?

Well the main reason why I was in Penang is because me and my friends made like a super last minute decision to just get out of the city for a few days and have some relaxing time out. The trip was great and it was certainly fun. Although I was kinda tired but still totally enjoyed it. Totally love it!

As usual, there was of course food involve throughout the 3 days and I think I grew fatter by a few cm. So in Penang we stayed at the same guest house which I did previously called Carnavon House and as always the  boss' there were just friendly and kind. They've actually buffed up their security there which is good. Plus they are making more changes which will certainly be great. It is surely a comfortable place to stay at.

I think apart from the food and lazing around during the trip, another fun and exciting part (not about other exciting stuff k *wink wink) was the drinking. Two nights in a row we were out for drinks in three different locations. Speaking about drinking, even last night we had another drinking session. Gosh, am I becoming like an alcoholic? I hope not. I'm scared to get drunk you know *wink wink*

So it was just a short trip but still worth it. What I liked the most is I got to drink! Of course with great people.

Bagel anyone??? It has whole in the middle of it which looks like........

Any upcoming trips people? Lets talk.
