#Blogiversary

October is coming soon! Have you completed 70% of your resolution for this year? I actually can't remember mine though.

I started blogging when I was asked by one of my college mate back in 2008 why didn't I blog? After that question I decided to start a blog and it was named Adlexus. Why the name Adlexus? Well I just wanted a nickname or more of just a name and nothing in particular. So only 2nd September 2008 I started this blog and my first post was on that very same date and day.

Throughout my 6 years of blogging, I've made tonnes of changes and certain part of my life is actually recorded in here although it may not be as interesting as others, this is my personally diary that I have shared with many since back in 2008 and for those who've been supportive, it has been great! Xoxo!

I do hope to continue blogging for many more years even-though no one bothers to read my blog anymore. Sounds so sad la!

Also my blog have been going through so many changes. Lets hope no more changes that soon!

Happy 6 years of blogging!

I was out of town

This post has been long overdue. I was suppose to write about Penang after my previous trip but I didn't. So I had to make sure I did a post for my recent trip to Penang this time. It's just a simple one la.

adlexus.blogspot.com

So I drove to Penang with a bunch of my friends over the long weekend that was just before Malaysia Day. Before that, lets do a flash back. So what did you do over that weekend? Did you drink, got drunk, found a 'someone', fireworks blew across the sky and you slept the whole noon because you were too tired? Okay just ignore that I said that. Sound stupid. Stupidly anticing.

Anyway let me try to act like I was writing this during that time. I was in Penang again! Yeay! I think every since I had my new car I'm able to drive around and longer distance. So I guest that's the reason why I was in Penang over that weekend. Partially the reason la. Or is it?

adlexus.blogspot.com

Well the main reason why I was in Penang is because me and my friends made like a super last minute decision to just get out of the city for a few days and have some relaxing time out. The trip was great and it was certainly fun. Although I was kinda tired but still totally enjoyed it. Totally love it!

As usual, there was of course food involve throughout the 3 days and I think I grew fatter by a few cm. So in Penang we stayed at the same guest house which I did previously called Carnavon House and as always the  boss' there were just friendly and kind. They've actually buffed up their security there which is good. Plus they are making more changes which will certainly be great. It is surely a comfortable place to stay at.

I think apart from the food and lazing around during the trip, another fun and exciting part (not about other exciting stuff k *wink wink) was the drinking. Two nights in a row we were out for drinks in three different locations. Speaking about drinking, even last night we had another drinking session. Gosh, am I becoming like an alcoholic? I hope not. I'm scared to get drunk you know *wink wink*

So it was just a short trip but still worth it. What I liked the most is I got to drink! Of course with great people.

Finding Dumbo

The blog title may seem weird but yea. Weird is good no? Anyway, it has been such a hectic week for me from last Monday until Sunday. Imagine working on a weekend meaning I've worked 7 days straight. Wow. Yes wow! But nevertheless I'm not complaining much because it is also good for me.

Oh yeah I visited the club again on Saturday night. It was a good one this time because I didn't just drink and got drunk but instead I took to the dance floor to distress myself. From a full hectic week of work, moving to the groove was great. Met friends of a friend which was good. New connections. The different walks of life.

Anyway not sure if you may notice, but if you've been reading my blog for sometime, you might have notice I hardly or rarely talk much about my relationship stuff or what I do so on and so fort anymore about my other part of my life. Why? Well I think certain things are meant to be shared while some I rather just keep it and share it on a personal level with those who are close to me and I can relate too. It's not like I'm saying I don't love writing those stuff here but I just feel maybe I shouldn't. But I will write sometimes if I feel like it. I wouldn't want folks going all judgy about me on what I write here and see me as a different kind of person than who I am in terms of relationship stuff la.

So some history (it's in the past so why hover over it right) on my love hate relationships I've had in the past.

I've only had 3 serious relationship in my 26 years being on this planet. There was those on and off so called relationships/LDR and stuff but nothing really materialise from those so its not worth mentioning here.

www.adlexus.com

Back to the topic of discussion, out of those 3 I've had in the past, only 2 of those relationship I am truly really happy being in it while the first one is not even worth elaborating in here. Why? Because it just isn't worth it. Things that was said, actions that was made just leaves a mark forever and honestly, I've rarely hated an individual but for that particular person, I just do. It's bad to keep hatred part of yourself, but I can't help it. Ever since the split, I've never contacted or bothered to keep in touch at all even though attempts to do so was made by the other party. Friends have asked and encouraged me to speak to that individual but nah I'll just give it a pass. Isn't worth my time and effort as I do know, I'll never forgive what was done.

The 2nd story. It was a short but sweet one I must say. Everything was easy going and everything was smooth until one day I realise maybe it was just me being too into it while the other party isn't really. So I just decided to pull the plug which actually was the right move. Good thing is we do still keep in touch and we are friends. Still share the same interest at times.

3rd time's the charm that's what they may say. Unfortunately it wasn't if I may say. Seriously speaking, there are thoughts to this situation which I feel I shouldn't list them here as I just want to keep it personal. All in all, it was a lovely relationship I had and certainly so much sweetness till you could end up getting diabetes. As like the 2nd, this was slightly more complicated not on the other end's point but mine instead and going our separate ways was in my book. I just followed by the book.

So that is the mini short story I've just shared and it just seem to be pretty common and nothing extraordinary about it. I do have friends who come up to me and ask me "Hey Ad, don't you want to be in a relationship? Don't you feel lonely?" and etc. My answer to them is, YES, but I would rather have something which you can feel secure compared to something which is just so fragile.

www.adlexus.com

Everything has to start somewhere so I'll just wait for a spark to start which may lead to a burning flame that will last for years to come.

How was your past relationship(s) and how is your current one? If you're single, fret not as the one is always somewhere in that thick bush on a secluded island.

Penang vs KL

It's back to work tomorrow after a long weekend. I would say it was a good weekend although nothing much planned or happened. How was your Merdeka weekend?

Remember previously I made a road trip to Penang? I was supposed to blog about it but nah, its too late! Haha. Anyway, so one of the things I did when I was in Penang was of course to find a good hangout place there at night, you know for drinks and stuff. As we all know, there isn't much club which is particularly rainbow friendly but there is this one bar which is pretty nice and the crowd is great too.

Have you heard of Seventy7? They used to be situated across where they are now but have since moved to a slightly bigger venue and with more space. It was my second time there and honestly, I do like that place. Not just the place but the atmosphere and the people there. I had a couple of drinks there (not a couple but 1 bottle of white wine and extra 3 glasses of it) chatted and laugh but it didn't felt like we (me and my friend) were singled out. We even met and chatted with one of the boss' there (share partner I think) and he was just casual and a great guy. Plus, you can wear shorts and flip flops!

www.adlexus.com

Why am I saying this? Well, so on Saturday night me and my friend decided to head down to one of the popular clubs in town. As always, I forgot my card and had to pay the entrance few.

Anyway, that aside, when we went in it felt like the crowd was being very judgy and we didn't get the same vibe like we had in Penang. I mean I've been countless times to that club and it always feels like everyone is always in packs like wolves staring you down and just wanting to bite your head off. If they bite something else it wouldn't be that bad would it? *wink wink. Well it can be in a good way but still it feels not so good.

Do you guys get that kind of feel when you're there? Oh yea, another things is, you don't get that sense of friendly-ness from the crowd which I believe isn't suppose to be that way? Must be culture. Maybe I'm like starting to have a different approach to night life scene in my life that's why. Coffee, cafes, bars are more of my thing now I guess instead of loud music, jumping like chimpanzees (I used to be like that...hahaha!), having to dress to kill. Is it because I'm getting old?

Back to the story, I just feel experiencing that night life in Penang and the night life in KL is just pretty different. Oh another thing is, everyone in Seventy7 practically knows each other compared to the club I went. Must be due to some geo-scape reason.

What and how is your night life scene?

This picture has totally no connection to this post at all. Right? I look fat!
