It started off as a normal day last Friday. Headed to work, and worked all day long. After work went to get some yummy sushi for dinner before heading back home. Once home, headed for a quick shower to freshen up before heading to the club. It was a night out with my colleagues.
My Uber driver got lost trying to find his way to my place. Honestly it's not that hard to find but he just went in circles till I couldn't wait any longer and I just canceled the trip. Requested for another ride and this time, the drive also got lost but he managed to find his way eventually. Yet he wasn't even apologetic since it took him so long to arrive.
You know as I type this, I'm actually still in office. Why you may ask? Well, work lor. I mean the industry I'm in is pretty fast pace and not for the faint-hearted. Seriously, sacrifice is a big word and I guess I've done it a lot for this job. I've given two of the most important thing in my life to this job which is my time and my health.
I'm spending hours and hours at work till the extend that my health has taken its toll quite a few times this year alone.
It is December. It is also a superbly busy period for me. Been tied up with work so much till I've left my blog hanging.
I can't wait till the end of December as that is when I get to chill and relax till the new year. Seriously the amount of work has been quite heavy till my white hair has been sprouting like mushrooms after a heavy rain. Even my stylist mentioned "What is happening to you?". I'm just speechless!
Nothing much has happened anyways for me to shout out. Dad is doing good so far. He had his CT and MRI done recently so we're just waiting for the results and the next consultation with the doctor. All will be fine :)
So I decided to start a post called "The Quickie Post". It's not a post of what you think OKAY. Find out what it means here.
I want to write more here but writing a full length post may take quite a lot of time as I need to edit pictures if any before I post and crack my head how to put my thoughts into words. So I thought why not I write some short updates, after all its still a posting here, no?
So here is my first quickie post!
Will be having a get together with my ex-colleagues tonight. It has been some time since I've met all of them. Great bunch of people.
Just had a hair cut. My stylist is trying something new but I got to let my hair grow out before he can fully style it as I just cut off my long locks (as if) couple of weeks ago. Missing my longer hair now. T__T
Anyway been feeling pretty annoyed by certain things lately both personal and work. Seriously its really annoying the hell out of me and I'm just keeping my cool. Just wait till the day comes when I pull the plug on everything.
Another long weekend has just ended not long ago. I was so wishing it would never but it did eventually. It made me depressed and sad which I cried all night long while rain drops fell from the window pain.
Do I sound poetic? Hope not. LOL. I should be a song writer maybe.
Gosh my fave contestant Brian Justin Crum didn't take of the crown as AGT's 2016 winner! So sad! But that voice (and eyes *cough*) still wins my heart. His version of Radiohead's Creep is by far the best. Always gives me the chills when I loop in YouTube. Hope he releases a single soon!
Currently following the X Factor UK. Wonder who will win this year and there's some pretty good singers too. Excited!
It was a long weekend and I am loved it! But the long weekend has come to an end. Dreaded Monday is here and I couldn't hate any much more than I already do.
Last Thursday and Friday was the most tiring and stressful period. Was up practically for more than 48 hours for work. I swear I felt I was as high as F after being up that without any sleep and surviving only on 2 cups of coffee throughout that period apart from sugary stuff to give me more energy.
But it was satisfying I would say. Me and the team were super glad it was over. We just couldn't wait for the clock to strike 12 for us to end it all.
Currently back home at my parents place. I'm always back home on Sundays unless stated otherwise. Always try to make it a point to come back once a week here to meet them and catch up on what's been happening plus how things are going.
Dad is under-going some medication till early October then he has to head back to the hospital for an ultrasound. Hope things will be a-okay.
Went for gym this morning or more like late morning for body pump. Been trying to make sure I'm constant with my attendance. It is the best sort of cardio I could get since I've not been doing any cardio for the past year or so. Been a month I think since I started back body pump and I can seriously see the results faster than I can imagine. Folks have been saying I'm loosing weight and I can feel or see it too. My tees aren't so fit nor tight anymore. Hahaha! Hope to get back my V and abs (dreaming).
Last weekend le familia decided to have a birthday celebration for my dad at my sister's house. I guess the hardest part of this celebration wasn't the preparation but instead thinking of what to cook. As if thinking what to eat on a daily basis wasn't hard enough, I had to think what to cook for everyone. But to ease my life, I threw that task to Marcus instead. Haha. Thank God for him to safe me. Hahaha.
So the trouble of thinking what to cook was settled. All I had to do was prepare the ingredients that's all! Headed to Village Groccer in Bangsar and Bens at Batai to get the needed ingredients. If you ask me its not about being 'wahhh so atas'. Given a choice I wouldn't even want to shop at these places but honestly some of their things are pretty fresh and the selection is wider than the many other hypermarkets.
I need to be like Emily Charlton, "I love my job I love my job I love my job". I actually do love my job and enjoy it lots but just that it has been kind of hectic till it eats you up and more or it might just burn you out.
Anyway, back to my topic of the day. As you've known, I'm a regular gym goer with one main reason which is to stay fit but lately I've been gaining more fats than weight. Trying hard to reduce it back to 11% while I'm currently at 18%! Damn it! Guess the saying is true. When you're above 25 of age, your body tend to slow down and fats gather even faster than you can say 'holy shit I'm fat'. (wait did I just give away my age??)
So I was at the gym yesterday for two classes which was bodypump and bodycombat (yes I'm working hard to burn those fats) when I realise something.
I've been noticing it quite frequent but just didn't blog about it that's all. I bet you guys would notice it too. You're bound to see or bump or even meet various type of gym goers. You would think it's the girls but hell no.
So what are the type of guys you will meet at the gym?
Its August. We've just passed the mid year mark and just a few months before we ring in 2017. So fast!
It has been a dramatic month end I would say for me. With so many happenings, from work to personal life, it's rather draining actually. Its like sucking the life out of me day by day, minute by minute. Perhaps many do not see how its affecting me but I can feel it and definitely see the changes.
Honestly I just love this little space of mine. Been always wanting to write but seriously time is a killer. People always say making time is an option but honestly I just find it hard to make time for anything. Anyway thought I should put some thoughts on what I've been up to lately since I've been pretty quiet on my blog these days.
Have you been following America's Got Talent? Well I have. I mean I've been following since they started in the US and I've always been following the UK version of it. Anyway I'm rooting for Brian Justin Crum. Not only he looks you know like how he is, but he has that voice! Love his performance when he covered Radiohead's creep!
I've paid my dues. Wait, are you thinking of Anastacia's song?
Well not! I've paid my dues as in my outstanding bills I've gotten from MBPJ. Yea, remember I said (not sure if I did) I wouldn't want to pay it? I've got to.
So last Thursday I received two love letters from MBPJ stating that I have outstanding amounts to be settled and failure to clear them I would be called to court and my name would be submitted to JPJ which would mean I won't be able to renew my car road tax. Blood hell I tell you.
Anyhow because of that I decided to settle the payment using MBPJ's online portal. To my surprise there is actually a discount given when you choose to pay online. Like for reals! From my understanding, if you pay within two weeks of you receiving your ticket, the price to pay is only RM30 (original is RM100) while the longer you keep it the price gets higher. What I can summarise is the price are grouped into RM30, RM50, RM70 and the ultimate price to pay is RM100.
As much as I hate it, I would rather get rid of all those shit then to have my road tax blocked. So I'm currently RM600 poorer and don't even bother asking how many tickets I've gotten from them. I tell you staying in PJ is such a pain when you have dogs like them running round.
It is Sunday and I'm just all lazy as fuck (sorry for the vulgarity but I am).
Went to catch Angry Birds The Movie last night and I just fell asleep halfway through. Haha. Few reasons but the obvious one was I am just dead tired from the day before actually. I did BodyPump and BodyCombat back to back with lack of rest. Surely I will be full flat dead.
I didn't realise Jungle Book was out till I saw an ad when I was driving and immediately I knew I had to watch it.
Without much doubt tickets were booked at One Utama's GSC Atmos hall (best hall to catch this sort of film due to the sound system).
I was kind of worried that the movie might turn out disappointing but man was I wrong. Unlike other remakes by Disney such as Cinderella which lost parts of its originality from the actual story, for Jungle Book they kept it as close as possible to the 1967 animated film.
The movie had the original soundtracks such as "The Bare Necessities", "Trust in Me" and "I Wan'na Be Like You" included which made it feel like I was watching the animated version again.
Story line was great and the graphics was just surreal! Certainly beats Avatar by far I would say and overtakes Life of Pi by a few hundred miles. The movement of each character was so smooth and somehow it just looks so natural.
I would definitely say its a must to watch. A 5/5 rating. Great cast and visuals and great story.
Joined the Great Eastern Viper Arena 2016 on Saturday (26 March) and all I can say is, I need to build back my stamina like crazy! This is my second Viper experience and comparing with my first, I struggled a lot. My first experience I had no problem with the obstacles and running but yesterday's was challenging. I couldn't run long and i tend to get tired easily.
Happy Chinese New Year! I know I know I’m a little late in
wishing, but hey, isn’t Chinese New Year for 15 days?
So how has your New Year celebration been? Are you still
visiting friends and family? Well for me I didn’t exactly do any visitation
this year and the year before or even the year before. Yea, not a very festive
person am I. But if you asked me out during this occasions, I’ll gladly oblige.
This year Chinese New Year has been a little quiet,
generally I would say and year after year, my reunion dinner seems to be
getting more intimate because my cousins, the girls to be precise are all
getting married while the guys, not sure why la taking so long. Lol.
Year after year I’m always faced with this question. “Adrian
where’s your girlfriend?”. My answer was very simple, “I don’t know”. There!
Happy New Year folks! 363 days till 1st January 2017. Did you know 2016 has 366 days because it's a leap year and February has 29 days this year?
Hope you guys are having a great start to the year with less drama and more love plus happiness. For me, 2016 did start off pretty well for sure.
So how did I celebrate my New Year? With my love of course *blushing like shit*. It was a pretty simple celebration just the two of us and that's how I love it as always. We had invites to clubs and parties but sometimes I rather have some quiet time alone together. Getting drunk and wasted? Nah not for me. See my mood la basically. So just decided to turn all those down.
Anyway back to my story, new year's eve we had yummy self prepared dinner then headed to Avenue K to catch some fireworks. We were actually 10 minutes away from midnight and we were just in time for the count down and fireworks. Speaking of fireworks, we could hardly see any because the construction site for Four Seasons just blocked everything out. Hahaha.
