Firstly, I would like to wish a very Happy Chinese New Year folks! As the saying goes, it is the year of the cock. Wonder will there be any cocky people who would talk cock-sense using their cock rather than their brains?
Every year, for the past few years as far as I can remember, I've been celebrating Chinese New Year on a low note. I don't really go visiting nor entertaining visitors. I'm always asked what do I do during this festive period by friends and my reply is always simple too. I just stay at home. With that being said, they would start asking, why? It gets kind of tiring trying to explain to them why so most of the time my reply would be, "I don't know".

I guess as years goes by, everything changes. People change, environment changes. I don't really see it as an issue for having a quiet CNY. During the 2017 new year, it was also a quiet one for me. It is a good time for me to spend moments with my family especially at this point of time. Since late last year, the family has been trying to stay as positive as we can and keeping spirits up despite us knowing my dad's condition. We are still in a grey area on the situation but there is progression which is good. Till we know the exact outcome, all we can do now is just stay positive as always.
On to 2017, so far things are improving. It was a tough start for me during the 1st week of January 2017, but it has gotten better although I'm still trying to grasp my 2016 experiences and memories. I'm really looking forward to the next 11 months to come in term so life and career.
Speaking of career, I recently got promoted! I am happy with it but its nothing really major. Was hoping for something greater but we can't be overwhelmingly demanding until we can deliver right? Aside from that I was given my first chance to emcee a brand's annual dinner in late January. I was pretty nervous at a certain point but in the end I got into my comfort zone during the event which was good. The client was happy with my job and that matters most to me. Not the money but meeting the client's expectation is crucial. I am hoping for more opportunities in 2017. Crossing fingers!

Looking forward to what 2017 has to bring. Hope for more exciting things to come and creating memories!
