9th of May will certainly go down in history. It is the day we as Malaysians went to vote in what was labelled as the most anticipated election ever (to me at least). All political parties pulled out all the stops and threw all they had in order to win the nation’s votes.

With a need for change in everyone’s heart when voting, a changed was what happened. After ruling for 61 years in Malaysia, Barisan National was defeated by a coalition party (Pakatan Harapan) that is led by a former Barisan National leader as well.

A leader who served as the longest Prime Minister in Malaysia previously, is now back as the world's oldest leader of a nation at the age of 93 and still going strong. He is the 7th Prime Minister of Malaysia (was also the 4th) and he has made headlines across the world again.

He is none other than Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Lets hope for the best within this five years. Now the focus would be on Harapan's manifesto for the first 100 days as the new government.
